The Regional College of Management, Bhubaneswar (RCM) is the foremost management college to be established in 1982.The B-school since its inception successfully imprinted its mark globally to be acknowledged as the Best Eastern school of Management recognized by the University Grants Commission and been facilitated with an affiliation by AICTE. To spread further the wings of knowledge the management college beholds its governmental recognition under section 2 (f) and 12(b) of UGC Act.

UGC Guidelines
The affiliating system of colleges was originally designed when their number in a university was small. The university could then effectively oversee the working of the colleges, act as an examining body and award degrees on their behalf.
Anti Ragging@RCM
Ragging in any form is banned inside and outside the RCM campus. Any misconduct by a student, whether by words spoken or written or by an act which includes physical abuse, teasing, rude treatment or any undisciplined activity is taken into strict consideration by the Anti-Ragging Squad of the institute.
Ragging Policy
At RCM we follow the Ragging policy, by the orders of the Honorable Supreme Court of India, relevant UGC guidelines and the Andhra Pradesh Prohibition of Ragging Act 1997, according to which, ragging is considered a sadistic act done to derive thrills and is thus a violation of the Human Rights of the one being ragged.
Committee for SC/ST
The committee aims in providing a proper environment to the SC/ ST community and remove the difficulties faced by them.
Internal Complaint Committee
The committee looks after the gender sensitization, prevention, of sexual harassment of woman and students.
Anti-Ragging Committee
Constituted in the year 2016-2020- RCMs anti ragging committee consists of eminent members who strive hard to boycott ragging and aim at providing a safe and friendly environment for freshers.
Reservation Policy
The reservation of seats under various categories for communities that add versatility and diversity to the RCM campus is as per the policy of the Government of Odisha.

RCM is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) since 1994. AICTE is a statutory body and a National level council which is responsible for proper planning and coordination of department of the technical education and management education system in India.
