In pursuance to the UGC Guidelines to Provide a pivotal mechanism within the institution aimed at fostering an environment of equality, inclusiveness, and respect for diversity, the Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) is here by constituted under the chairmanship of Dr. Pritam Pal, Director in the Regional College of Management (A unit of Regional College of Management Trust) for the academic year 2024-25.

The EOC is dedicated to protecting the rights and interests of all students, ensuring that no student is discriminated against based on caste, creed, religion, language, ethnicity, gender or disability.

Objectives of Cell

  • To ensure equity and equal opportunity to the community at large in the college and bring about social inclusion.
  • To enhance the diversity among the students, teaching and non-teaching staƯ population and at the same time eliminate the perception of discrimination.
  • To create a socially congenial atmosphere for academic interaction and for the growth of healthy interpersonal
    relationships among the students coming from various social backgrounds.
  • To make eƯorts to sensitize the academic community regarding the problems associated with social exclusion
    as well as aspirations of the marginalized communities.
  • To help individuals or a group of students belonging to the disadvantaged section of society to contain the
    problems related to discrimination.
