About SGRC
The Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) of Regional College of Management has been constituted in accordance with the guidelines of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Approval Process Handbook 2024–27.
The committee is dedicated to addressing and resolving grievances of students in a fair, transparent, and time-bound manner. The objective of SGRC is to ensure that students experience a safe, respectful, and academically enriching environment throughout their educational journey at RCM.
The committee handles both academic and non-academic grievances and follows the principles of natural justice while resolving issues.

Academic Issues
- Delay in exams or results
- Failure to provide academic facilities
- Unfair evaluation practices
- Delay in fee refund
Financial Issues
- Non-payment of scholarships
- Delay in financial assistance
- Excess charging of fees
- Deviation from fee policy
Student Welfare
- Harassment or victimization
- Caste or disability discrimination
- Violation of reservation policies
- Denial of promised education quality
Documentation
- Withholding certificates/documents
- Refusal to return documents
- Misleading published information
Natural Justice
All grievances are addressed following the principles of natural justice — ensuring every party is heard fairly and impartially.
Terms & Conditions
- The terms of the members and the special invites shall be two years.
- The SGRC shall send its report with recommendations, if any, to the institution concerned and a copy thereof to the aggrieved student, withina period of 15 days from the date of receipt of the complaint.
- The quorum for the meeting including the Chairperson, but excluding the special invites, shall be three.
- Any student aggrieved by the decision of the Student Grievance Redressal Committee may prefer an appeal to the Ombudsperson appointed by Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), withina period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of such decision.
- In considering the grievances, the SGRC shall follow principles of natural justice.
