Bhubaneswar: Altogether 58,000 students will appear for the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination OJEE 2022 from July 4 to July 8. After a gap of two years the Special OJEE/ Second OJEE will be conducted separately in September. It was merged with OJEE in the last two years because of the Covid-19 pandemic.ย
OJEE chairman SK Chand said, โAltogether 65,000 candidates had registered their names and other details for the entrance exam, but 58,000 of them have duly completed the form and paid the fees. About 2,000 more students will take the OJEE this time compared to last year.โย
On Wednesday, the OJEE authorities published the complete schedule of the examination. According to the published notice the examination will be conducted through computer-based test or CBT mode in three shifts on all the days except last one. The first shift will start from 9am and continue until 11am, while the second shift will be held between 12.30pm and 2.30pm. The last shift will be from 4pm to 6pm.ย
On the first day, tests will be conducted for lateral entry into BTech or LE tech (diploma) courses in all three shifts. On July 5, examinations will be held for MCA/MSc (computer science) course in the first two shifts and the third shift will be for MTech (11 subjects), M Arch, M Plan, M Pharm and BCAT courses.ย
On July 6, tests will be held for MBA in two shifts and the last shift will be for integrated MBA, lateral entry into pharmacy and other courses. The tests for B Pharma will be conducted on July 8 in the first two shifts. There will be no examination in the last shift of that day, the official sources said.ย
โCandidates can download their admit cards from the OJEE website with effect from June 27. Only one month is left for the entrance examination, so I advise the students to prepare well for the test,โ the OJEE chairman said.ย
He said the OJEE and Special OJEE exams were being held separately pre-Covid.ย
โDuring Covid, we could not hold separate examinations, so we merged the Special OJEE with the Main OJEE. But we have once again decided to go back to the old pattern because of the improvement in the Covid condition. We will conduct OJEE in July and the Special OJEE in September where BTech courses will be included,โ he added.
