Snigdha Chamaptiray, joint secretary to the government of Odisha, stated in her letter that the goal of requesting such a report is to improve the campus setting and overall educational experience.
The Department of Higher Education requested a thorough report on the infrastructure present at all degree-granting universities and Teacher Education Institutes (TEIs) in a letter sent to them on Wednesday.
In her letter, Joint Secretary to the government of Odisha, Snigdha Chamaptiray said the objective behind seeking such a report is to enhance the campus environment and overall learning experience.
“The primary objective of the assessment is to gain a thorough understanding of the current state of physical facilities available at the institutions, improvements required, potential challenges, and opportunities that can help to strategically plan for the enhancement of our campus environment and overall learning experience for students all over the State,” read the letter.
“In view of the above, you along with governing body/management committee of the institute are therefore requested to assess the available infrastructure of the college and basic requirements (if any) and to submit the information in the Google sheet format, which will be shared with your college mail id shortly for further necessary action at this end,” the letter stated.
In the letter, the principals of the degree colleges and Teacher Education Institutes have been told that they should submit the complete information in the Google sheet by August 14.
