Within 15 days of the exam’s completion, the results are anticipated.
According to officials, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) will be administered to more than 65,000 students through June 17.
This will be the second extension of the entrance exam for undergraduate admission. The exam was scheduled from May 21 to May 31, however, it was later extended until June 7. From June 9 to June 11, the National Testing Agency (NTA) published the admit cards.
The NTA will soon announce the dates for further rounds of the exam. The results are expected to be announced in July. The exams are likely to continue till June 17 and most of these tests will be conducted in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand. The results are expected within 15 days from the date of completion of the exams.
“According to the original schedule, the results were expected around June 20, which will now probably be announced around the first week of July,” a senior official said. For the CUET-UG this year, more than 14 lakh applications have been submitted, a 41per cent increase from the first edition.
According to the number of candidates, CUET-UG is the second-largest admission exam in the nation. 9.9 lakh students filed their applications for the exam in its first edition, which had 12.5 lakh registered candidates.
The exam is being administered in three shifts this year, unlike last. While some candidates from other states and union territories are also awaiting the dates, Jammu and Kashmir, and Jharkhand have the highest number of pending applicants. The CUET-UG has so far recorded an attendance rate of about 75 percent.
