UGC, AICTE Scholarships For Higher Education: Learn More Here

A number of scholarships are being offered by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). 

With the academic session going on in full swing across the country, many students are looking for opportunities to fulfill their dreams of higher education. 

Here is a list of the Scholarships: 

University Grants Commission (UGC):

1. Ishan Uday – Special Scholarship Scheme for North-Eastern Region  

Amount of Scholarship: Rs. 5400 per month for general degree courses and Rs. 7800 per month for technical/medical/professional/ paramedical courses. 

Application Deadline: October 31, 2022 

2. PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship For Single Girl Child

Amount of fellowship: Rs. 36,200 p.a. for a period of two years only i.e. full duration of a PG course. No other additional grant will be payable in lieu of hostel charges and medical charges etc. 

3. PG Scholarship For University Rank Holders 

Amount of fellowship: Rs.3,100 per month for a period of two years only i.e. full duration of a PG course. 

4. PG Scholarship Scheme For SC, ST Students For Perusing Professional Courses 

Candidates selected for the award of the PG scholarship (under ME/M Tech.) shall be provided a scholarship at Rs. 7800 per month for the duration of the PG Scholarship. 

For other courses, the amount of scholarship will be paid at Rs. 4500 per month. 

All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE):

1. Pragati Scholarship Scheme For Girl Students (Technical Degree)

Amount of Scholarship: Rs. 50,000 per annum for every year of study i.e. maximum 4 years for first-year admitted students and maximum 3 years for second-year admitted students through lateral entry as lump sum amount towards payment of college fee, purchase of computer, stationaries, books, equipment, software, etc. 

2. AICTE – Swanath Scholarship Scheme (Technical Diploma) 

Amount of Scholarship: Rs. 50,000 per annum for every year of study i.e. maximum 4 years duration for first year admitted Degree students and maximum 3 years for diploma Students as lump sum amount towards payment of college fee, purchase of computer, stationaries, books, equipment, software. 

The deadline for the AICTE scholarship is October 31, 2022.
