New Exam Centres for OJEE 2020
The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) 2020 Cell introduced new exam centres both within and outside Odisha. This decision aimed to help candidates appearing for MBA, MCA, NEET UG, and Special OJEE exams. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, authorities took this step to ensure accessibility and ease during the examination and OJEE counselling process.
A total of six new exam centres were added within Odisha and three outside the state. The newly included centres in Odisha were Balangir, Paralakhemundi, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Nayagarh, and Phulbani. Outside Odisha, the centres included Patna, Ranchi, and Kolkata. This expansion reduced travel difficulties and made examinations more accessible to students from different regions.
OJEE Counselling: Exam Centre Change Window Introduced
For the first time, candidates received the option to modify their exam centre preferences through a dedicated change window. This initiative ensured a smoother examination process, minimizing travel-related stress and allowing students to focus on their performance. Speaking to the Times of India, OJEE Chairman S.K. Chand highlighted that no OJEE exam centres had been set up outside Odisha since 2014.
