BHUBANESWAR: On Monday morning of October 12, 70 per cent of students who had applied for the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) appeared on the first day of the exam. The exams continued till the 19th of October.
S.K. Chand, Chairman of OJEE, said that they were conducting the exam in three shifts in a day. As many as 3600 students had shown up for the first day in each shift. “We have recorded 70 per cent turnout on first shift, while 71 per cent in second shift and third shift respectively,” he added.
A Lateral Entry was granted to the students of BTech on Monday and it continued on till the next day. “We have taken all precautions and COVID-19 protocols of the government in examination centres. It is a contact-less and incident-free examination,” he added.
Like the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main, the OJEE examination is also conducted through a computer-based exam. OJEE was held at 54 examination centres and in 21 cities in Odisha. The exam was also conducted in five centres outside the state. A total of around 79,800 candidates have their names registered to appear for the OJEE Exam.
