Odisha’s Chief Minister Invites College Teachers To Create In Students A Problem-Solving Mindset!

Furthermore, he stated that the process of hiring over 1,000 professors, associate professors, and assistant professors in various fields across all state institutions has already begun.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday asked college teachers to develop in students a problem-solving mindset. While digitally addressing a college teacher orientation class, Patnaik stated that society thrives and advances by resolving its problems. It is therefore critical to foster a problem-solving mindset in youth.

The State Selection Board (SSB) picked 908 professors for the recruiting process; 639 started on Tuesday, and the remainder will start soon. He stated that teachers must help the youth to develop this critical trait among themselves. “We need knowledge that solves our problems and transforms lives,” he added. “You are here by the potency of your education and are also going to make a career in education.” “No one understands the importance of education better than you,” said the Chief Minister.

He further said that, with an emphasis on higher education, his government has undertaken large recruiting efforts to replace empty teaching positions in both government-assisted and non-government-aided universities.

Since 2016, the state has launched a recruiting procedure for 3,768 college instructors, with 2,320 already hired at various aided colleges. Similarly, 991 academics are being recruited at various government colleges and teacher education institutes, he said. “Smart classrooms will be developed in colleges on the lines of our school transformation programme,” he stated.

Speaking on the occasion, Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo said, “We are initiating the Mo College programme to connect alumni with their alma mater.” During the meeting, Secretary to the Chief Minister V.K. Pandian stated that transparency is extremely important to the Chief Minister. The posting process, like the recruiting process, will be based on merit and counselling and will be conducted in complete transparency.
