What Is MAT (Management Aptitude Test)? 

The All India Management Association (AIMA) administers the Management Aptitude Test (MAT), a national level entrance exam for MBA/PGDM admissions. The exam is given four times a year: in February, May, September, and December. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements can apply to any of the 800+ business schools that accept MAT Exam results. 

You can take the examination in three different formats: paper-based, computer based, or remote proctored. Candidates have the option of taking the exam in whichever mode they want. The prices, exam schedule, and materials are all the same for all three options, but the exam dates are different. The country’s COVID-19 status has an impact on how BT and CBT exams are administered.

Mode Of Test For MAT Entrance Exam:

MAT Exam is available in both online and offline formats to make it more accessible. Applicants can choose between the two choices based on their preferences. The examination is available in the following formats: 

1. Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT) or 

 2. Double Proctored Internet Based Test (DPIBT) or  

3. Paper-Based Test (PBT) 

There is a split between options 1 and 2 (online mode) and option 3 (offline mode)

Eligible Criteria:

The eligible criteria for the examination is simpler than other Management and MBA entrance exams such as GMAT, GRE, and CAT. As stated on its official website, graduates of any field from reputed institutions can apply for the Management Aptitude Test. There is no given age limit for the candidates. There are no restrictions on the number of times applicants can apply.

MAT Exam Pattern:

The exam will consist of five sections that students must finish in two hours and thirty minutes. Each question will have four options, making the test completely objective. Candidates will receive 1 mark for each correct answer, while incorrect answers will be deducted 0.25 marks.
