International Excursion by BCA Students

BCA students of RCM went on an international trip to Bangkok, Thailand from 15th May to 18th May 2019 accompanied by Asst. Prof. Girish Chandra Sahoo.

Bangkok is the most beautiful and exotic city in Thailand, well known for its ornate shrines and vibrant street life – a visit to such a place provides the experience of a lifetime. It is known as the city of angels, the magnificent city of the 9 gems, the seat of kings and royal palaces, home of gods, believed to have been erected by Visvakarman at Lord Indra’s behest.

This three-night 4 four-day tour was an adventurous one for our students visited who visited the Siracha Tiger Zoo, the Safari World, Coral Island, Walking Street, etc. They had a quick tour of Pattaya city. They also visited the Golden Buddha Temple and Gems Gallery, one of the famous tourist destinations, world famous for its outstanding collection of beautiful gems. The Gems Gallery offered students glimpses into the amazing craftsmanship and skill of people in Thailand. Students got the opportunity to see The Alcazar Carabet Show, a must-watch for a perfect blend of acting, stage design, and costumes. The students were overwhelmed by the peace and serenity of the beautiful Golden Buddha Temple and its surroundings.

It was a great privilege for students to get exposed to Thai culture. One of the main attractions was Thai food- a spicy mix of sweet, salty, bitter, and sour. Commenting on the food one of the BCA students observed, “The spices of authentic Thai food will steam up your ears, but you can always balance it out with the awesome flavors of aromatic herbs”.

Overall, this first international exposure for most students introduced them to a different culture and made them realize how beautiful the world is and how important it is for us all to treasure its beauty.
