International Excursion by BCA Students

BCA students of RCM went on an international trip to Bangkok, Thailand from 15th May to 18th May 2019 accompanied by Asst. Prof. Girish Chandra Sahoo.

Bangkok is one of Thailand’s most beautiful and vibrant cities. It is famous for its ornate shrines and lively street life. A visit to Bangkok can provide an unforgettable experience.

People know Bangkok as the City of Angels and the City of the Nine Gems. It also serves as the historic seat of kings and royal palaces. Hindu tradition describes Bangkok as the home of the gods. According to the tradition, Visvakarman built the city at Lord Indra’s request.

This four-day, three-night tour offered an exciting experience for our students. During the trip, they visited Siracha Tiger Zoo, Safari World, Coral Island, Walking Street, and other popular attractions.

The students also explored Pattaya city and visited its major sights. The itinerary included the Golden Buddha Temple and Gems Gallery. The gallery is a popular tourist destination known for its impressive collection of beautiful gems.

At Gems Gallery, students gained insight into the craftsmanship and skills of Thai artisans. They also enjoyed the Alcazar Cabaret Show, which combines impressive performances, stage design, and costumes.

Finally, the beautiful Golden Buddha Temple and its peaceful surroundings left the students deeply impressed.

The tour gave students a valuable opportunity to experience Thai culture. One of the main attractions was Thai food- a spicy mix of sweet, salty, bitter, and sour. Commenting on the food one of the BCA students observed, “The spices of authentic Thai food will steam up your ears, but you can always balance it out with the awesome flavors of aromatic herbs”.

Overall, this first international exposure for most students introduced them to a different culture and made them realize how beautiful the world is and how important it is for us all to treasure its beauty.
