About Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) – 2024-2025

At the Regional College of Management (RCM), we are committed to providing a fair and transparent platform for addressing student concerns. In line with the AICTE Approval Process Handbook 2023-24 and the Notification-Regulation, 2019, the Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) has been constituted for the academic year 2023-24. The committee comprises of following members:

Special Invitees :

Purpose of SGRC

  • Provide students with a formal mechanism to address grievances.
  • Ensure a fair, transparent, and timely resolution process.
  • Uphold the principles of natural justice in all grievance-handling procedures.

Terms & Conditions

  • Tenure of Committee Members:
      Ensuring SC/ST students receive the appropriate benefits in admission to various courses and in hostel facilities.
  • Quorum for Meetings:
      The quorum for any SGRC meeting, which includes the Chairperson but excludes the special invitees, shall be three members.
  • Principles of Natural Justice
     
    The SGRC shall consider and resolve grievances while adhering to the principles of natural justice, ensuring a fair and unbiased      approach in all decisions.
  • Report Submission:
      The SGRC shall submit its report, including any recommendations, to the concerned institution and provide a copy to the aggrieved student. This report shall be submitted within 15 days of receiving the grievance or complaint.
  • Appeal Process:
      If a student is not satisfied with the decision of the SGRC, they may file an appeal to the Ombudsperson appointed by Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT). The appeal must be filed within 15 days of receiving the SGRC’s decision.
  • Effective Date:
     This notification and its terms are effective immediately upon issuance.
