According to UGC Chairman Professor M. Jagadesh Kumar, the Commission has requested information for admission to UG programmes in 45 central institutions across the country based on CUET-2022. Varsities were asked about the preparations they had undertaken for admission based on CUET-UG scorecards.
The UGC has asked for information on the merit list, the state of the admission portal, when students can apply for admission, and the deadline for applying for admission.
According to information received from Delhi University (DU), the university has launched a ‘Common Seat Allocation System’ (CSAS) for undergraduate admissions via an online site.
Registration for the first phase of CSAS began on September 12. The second phase will begin on September 26 and conclude on October 10. (CUET-UG)
DU is expected to release its initial merit list on September 26 and its final merit list on October 10.
The university’s qualifying criteria for all programmes, as well as its admission policies, are detailed in the ‘UG Bulletin of Information 2022’ and “CSAS 2022”. Both documents are available on the university’s website.
It is important to note that the enrolled universities will compile a merit list for various disciplines based on the CUET-UG scorecard.
The CUET-UG results have already been announced, and the participating universities and institutions are presently preparing merit lists.
The UGC has stated that admission to undergraduate programmes will be based on a regular percentage, not a percentile.
