All the Higher Educational Institutions, including Anna University in Tamil Nadu, will encourage the students to participate in the Students Satisfactory Survey (SSS). This participation would fetch the latest and all appropriate accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
Sources from Anna University said that the NAAC has endeavored to conduct an SSS, the result of which will encompass the accreditation process. Accordingly, the survey captures studentsโ responses from the list of students provided by the HEIs.
NAAC directly conducts this survey to give students a voice in the assessment and quality improvement process. The questionnaire follows a Likert-type scale, where students respond on a scale of 0 to 5. The system rates the most positive response as four and the most negative as zero.
The system randomly selects students for the survey. Except for specific cases, no one knows which student receives the SSS email or how they respond. The survey ensures complete anonymity for all participating students.
The survey has a 30 to 60 weightage (as per the type of institution) in the scoring of the institutional grade. Hence, responses from the students could play a critical role in determining institutional grade.
