As per research, India’s 10 richest can fund college, larger schooling of nation’s each baby for 25 years

As per research conducted, the wealth of India’s ten richest is sufficient to fund the higher education needs of each kid of the nation for the next 25 years! In its yearly inequality survey launched on the prime day of the World Financial Discussion board’s online Davos Agenda summit on Monday (January 17, 2022), Oxfam India mentioned that the Indian billionaires perceived their mixed fortunes greater than double through the Covid-19 pandemic and they’re depends shot up by 39 percent to 142.

Oxfam India further said that an additional one percent tax on the richest 10 percent can provide the country with nearly 17.7 lakh extra oxygen cylinders, while a similar wealth tax on the 98 richest billionaire families would finance Ayushman Bharat, the world’s largest health insurance scheme, for more than seven years.

The study asked the government to revisit its most important sources of revenue generation, adopting more liberal methods of taxation and assessing its structural issues that permit such wealth accumulation by the rich.
