The Badminton (Mixed Doubles) tournament at Brahmastra 2025 was a vibrant display of coordination, agility, and competitive spirit. Teams from various colleges participated, showcasing their synergy and strategic gameplay.
Matches were played using Mavis 350 shuttles, ensuring consistency and quality in gameplay. The tournament followed a knockout format, with initial rounds played as a single set to 31 points, and the semi-finals and finals adopting a best-of-three sets format, each set to 21 points.
The atmosphere was electric, with spectators cheering for their favorites, and players displaying remarkable sportsmanship and determination. The event not only highlighted team talents but also fostered a sense of community and camaraderie among participants.
Event Highlights
- Faults such as touching the net or hitting the shuttle out of bounds result in a point for the opponent.
- Players must wear appropriate indoor non-marking shoes.
- If a player has no legal moves and is not in check, the game is declared a draw (stalemate)
- No arguments with the arbiter; violations result in disqualification
