RCM College recently organized a visit to Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys (IMFA), India’s largest ferro alloys producer. This visit offered BBA, BCA, PGDM, and MBA students practical exposure to industrial operations, safety management, automation, and corporate governance.
Students observed the end-to-end ferro alloy production cycle, including ore handling, smelting in arc furnaces, and refining — offering deep insights into metallurgical processes.
Students interacted with operational managers and HR leads to understand workforce roles, safety regulations, risk management, and corporate policy implementation.
The facility showcased advanced automation in furnace control, conveyor systems, and internal logistics — demonstrating industrial innovation and energy-efficient manufacturing.
Students were briefed on IMFA’s commitment to sustainability, pollution control measures, and industry-grade safety protocols critical in large-scale metal production.
